Finger Painting

[January 30, 2020]

  1. This was a fun experience because there were no guidelines to what we could do and so it was just playing around with paint on our hands.
  2. It was more difficult than I expected because I would’ve thought it’s just splashing paint on the paper, but every time we put paint we were conflicted because we didn’t want the colors to be more prominent than others and when we tried to change that we would end up making it look more chaotic.
  3. It was liberating because there was no stress of having to have a specific end result. It was very stress relieving because I wasn’t worried about being too precise or too messy about what I was doing and I had fun playing around with the colors.
  4. This is very different to other paintings I’ve seen as it looks as if it were done by a child. Other abstract paintings seem to have a nice blend to them, but ours looks like an explosion of energy on the page.
